Take your camper along to the Faroe Islands
Turn the beautiful Faroe Islands into your home for a week or two
Take your camper along from Denmark to the Faroe Islands. Enjoy the rugged cliffs and the green mountainsides speckled with sheep. Go exactly where you like, the way you like. We know the Faroes in and out, and can therefore help you find exactly what you want to see and where to stay. You can stay in the capital or you can choose to stay in a cosy Faroese villages. There are plenty of options, all you have to do is choose.
Space on deck is limited. Often it is sold out in the summer sailing, so it requires that one is quick when it comes to reserves space for large vehicles. It is permitted to take gas cylinders aboard, it should be presented in one way or another - for example, with a sticker on the windshield. For those who have a fridge in the vehicle, it is possible to get power supply. This must be said that when you aboard.
In the Faroe Islands the campsites are relative primitive. They do not have the same standard as in Denmark or rest of the mainland, but they work fine as a base to stay on the green islands. Take a peek at the Faroese campsites here: Faroe camping or Camping Felagið
When to travel?
Please notice that all campsites in the Faroe Islands are closed outside high season!
If you would like to experience the Faroe Islands with camper, we strongly recommend that you go in the summer. In this period the islands are more camper friendly, and also our summer sailing schedule has two weekly crossings.
