Smyril Line - North Atlantic Cruise

North Atlantic Cruise

On our unique North Atlantic Cruise you will have a one week round trip exploring the North Atlantic ocean, Iceland and the Faroe Islands. The North Atlantic Cruise period is from 07.04 to 02.06 & 25.08 to 20.10.2018.

Try seeing the North Atlantic with the eyes of the Vikings. Imagine that you are seeing the Faroe Islands for the very first time – from a wooden ship with no comforts or conveniences whatsoever. Then open your eyes and take a look at the Norröna. Make the most of your options for activities and relaxation: for example, watch the sun set into the sea from your seat on the deck or have a quiet drink in the bar – so you will be ready for the interesting excursions that are arranged from Seyðisfjörður and Tórshavn.

This one week North Atlantic Cruise includes a 35 hours stop-over in East Iceland and two stops for 9 and 6 hours in the Faroe Islands, one stop on the way to Iceland and one on the return. You may bring your car along at an additional cost of € 199 and get the most out of your stops, or join the excursions in the Faroe Islands and Iceland. You have the opportunity to go on two excursions in Iceland and one in the Faroe Islands on the way to Iceland and one on the return to journey.

If you decide to disembark with your car in the Faroe Islands on the outbound and/or return journey it is important that you inform the check-in staff in Hirtshals and in Seyðisfjørður about this. You will then get an FO sign from the check-in staff to place on the windscreen of the car.

You have three North Atlantic Cruise options to choose from: Deluxe, Premium and Standard. Please see below what is included.

For booking please send an email to booking@smyrilline.com.

Friday evening, when the North Atlantic Cruise is nearing its end, we celebrate our adventures with a North Atlantic Cruise Buffet offering original dishes from the Viking Age (800-1150). The Vikings were more than fearsome warriors, they were also culinary explorers, who discovered and disseminated new raw materials, food preparation techniques and storage methods.

After an exhaustive search for authentic recipes and ingredients, such as fish, meat, poultry and spices from Viking times, we have put an enticing buffet together with a plethora of original dishes from the Viking Age.
