Discover our 2010 Travel Brochure
09-12-2009
In his introduction to the Brochure, the Faroese Minister of Foreign Affairs Jørgen Niclasen writes: "Here you are compelled to use all your senses to the fullest. Crisp clean air, bright changing light, birdsong, wind and the rolling ocean – it is well-worth the trip."
As you can tell from our Brochure, whether you are travelling alone or in a group, want to visit towns, villages and the locals or just enjoy these unique islands’ culture, Smyril Line will pull out all the stops for you to enjoy the perfect holiday.
Like the Faroes, Iceland is one of nature’s greatest wonders. Smyril Line has close ties to the island of sagas. The Norröna regularly anchors in Seydisfjördur on the East Coast. It is no exaggeration that Iceland is an experience in its own right, especially if you take a car to drive around and admire the majestic glaciers, enjoy the hot springs, including the Blue Lagoon, or just marvel at a landscape unlike any other in the world.
Your island adventures start as you step onboard the passenger ship Norröna – the swan of the North Atlantic – and it weighs anchor from Denmark, sailing from Hanstholm in summer and Esbjerg the rest of the year. There is plenty to experience onboard. This year cuisine takes pride of place and we can, for example, offer a special Viking Cruise. Our chef has explored Viking recipes and will be offering a wide selection of treats for gourmets.
Whether you are an angler, biker, hiker or just want to enjoy the islands by car – with Smyril Line you can tailor your trip to the Faroes or Iceland. Use the Brochure as an introduction to a breathtaking universe you would not want to miss.
As of January 1, 2010, our new online system will enable you to book your travel and pre-order onboard meals. It will save you money as you sail to and from the Faroes Islands and Iceland.
Smyril Line welcomes you onboard!
