Many of the accommodation places in Iceland are grouped in quality. This grouping is made by the Icelandic Touristcounsil. Hotels, guesthouses, holiday houses, cottages and others are of different quality, and therefore it is also a difference in the price. The prices on accommodation in Iceland are in general a bit high. Accommodation in farms is a popular way of accommodating and offer a wide selection of offers and activities - i.e. horseback riding, fishing, trips on snowscooters, boat trips, swimming and hunting of various animal spieces.
